A resident of St. Andrews Country Club in Boca Raton, Morgan Pressel turned pro at age 17 and is the youngest-ever winner of a modern LPGA major championship. However, her accomplishments off the course, some would say, are even more inspiring. In 2010, The Morgan Pressel Foundation was started in order to further the fight against cancer, particularly breast cancer, and to honor the memory of her mother, Kathryn Krickstein Pressel who passed away at an early age of breast cancer. In just six years, with supported effort, the foundation has raised over $3.4 million dollars to aid and support patient care and research in the fight against breast cancer.
