This 4th of July weekend the Boca Raton Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort invites families to celebrate the nation’s independence with its 2nd annual Stars & Stripes Festival with Fireworks freedom jubilee. After last year’s explosive success with over 1,000 families in attendance, the 356 acre property welcomes those familiar faces back for even bigger and better holiday festivities, and invites new guests to ignite a spectacular South Florida 4th of July family tradition.
Sunday July 3 the celebration kicks off on the Grand Lawn with wet and wild slip-and- slides, dunk tank and various carnival games. A plentiful holiday barbeque lines the halls in the convention center’s Grand Ballroom for all to enjoy, including an open bar. The holiday feast features sizzling sliders, lobster medallions, jumbo shrimp and oyster station, smokehouse ribs, BBQ chicken, Coney Island dogs, brisket and more.
Dynamic live performances by the Gin Blossoms and The SheJ, as well as a grandiose firework display set the stage as the grand finales of the evening. The Gin Blossoms provide live outdoor entertainment both parents and the kids will enjoy, including performances of their chart-topping hits “Hey Jealousy,” “Follow you Down,” and more. Families enjoy lounging together on the Mizner Center Grand Lawn, gazing above at the mesmerizing fireworks shooting 1,000 feet high in the sky – surpassing last year’s display by over 300 feet. After the last firework has fizzled guests move indoors to Palm Court, where DJ Nikki Pennie, also known as The SheJ spins fresh and fun vibes throughout the night.
