WINN-DIXIE UNVEILS FRESH, NEW LOOK AT SOUTH MIAMI STORE

Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: WINN) is celebrating the grand reopening of its existing South Miami store after months of remodeling. The newly-renovated store, located at 8710 SW 72nd Street, exemplifies the company’s overall fresh and local strategy and now offers South Miami customers an enhanced shopping experience with first-rate service, upgraded departments and expanded features.
“Shoppers entering our newly remodeled store will now find themselves surrounded by colorful arrays of fresh and organic produce, flowers and other perishables in a cleaner, modern and more attractive setting. In addition, this store is now merchandised to fit the lifestyles of the South Miami community,” said Randy Rambo, Southern regional vice president of Winn-Dixie Stores. “This strategy goes to the heart of what our customers have told us is important to them, and it is what the shoppers of South Miami can expect from their neighborhood grocer.”

Taste of Winn-Dixie

Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc., invites shoppers to celebrate a “Taste of Winn-Dixie” in honor of the South Miami store’s grand reopening. Shoppers will enjoy wine and cheese sampling, a chocolate fountain with fresh fruit, new product sampling, live entertainment, a reusable shopping bag giveaway and more. Chef Pepin will also provide a special live cooking demonstration featuring an authentic paella recipe from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Children’s activities include a caricature artist who will draw complimentary portraits of shoppers.
