The Art & Technique of the American Commercial FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16th, 2012

The best commercial advertising of the year will be coming to the Colony Theatre in Miami Beach, on Friday evening, November 16th and sponsorship opportunities are now available.   Presented by the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) Florida, the show is a compendium of advertisements selected for honors by industry professionals.  The show debuted in June, at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, and is currently on tour around the country and abroad.  This will be the only screening in Florida for the show, which recognizes commercial filmmaking in technical and artistic categories, ranging from animation to visual effects, and including such fields as production design, cinematography, and original music, as well as the Next categories Integrated Campaign, Experiential, Viral/Web Film, and more.

Selections of the honored commercials were made by 300 judges across the country, including a blue-ribbon Curatorial panel composed of distinguished members of the industry from production companies, advertising agencies, editorial companies, and others.  Honored commercials were produced for such brands as Target, Heineken, Chipotle, Nissan, Nike, Levi’s and Sony PlayStation, and created by agencies such as Wieden+Kennedy, TBWA\Chiat\Day, Deutsch, 72andSunny, Saatchi & Saatchi, BBDO New York, Grey, Creative Artists Agency, BBH London, JWT, Publicis, Goodby, Y&R and Google Creative Lab, among many others.
