The Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) offers unconditional free admission every second Saturday of the month (all day) and every Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM — no membership, no reservation, no catch.
PAMM is one of the most architecturally striking museums in the United States — a Herzog & de Meuron-designed building suspended over Biscayne Bay with hanging gardens cascading from its terraces. Its permanent collection spans modern and contemporary art with a focus on the Americas, Africa, and the African diaspora. Getting There Free
PAMM is directly accessible via the free Metromover — no car or rideshare needed:
- Metromover Omni Loop:Board the free Metromover at any Downtown or Brickell station. Take the Omni Loop to the Museum Park stop — PAMM is a 3-minute walk from the platform.
- From Miami Beach:Take the free Miami Beach Trolley to the MacArthur Causeway area, then connect to the Metromover at Bayfront Park or Government Center.
Maximize the Visit
- Thursday evenings:Thursday free nights at PAMM are significantly less crowded than Saturday free days. The waterfront terrace at dusk is one of the best free views in Miami.
- Combine with Frost Science:The Frost Science Museum is directly adjacent. While Frost Science charges admission, the outdoor plaza between the two museums is free and offers bay views.
