Orange Bowl Youth Football Announces Sports Authority as Presenting Sponsor

Entering its 12th season in 2010, the Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance (OBYFA) celebrates a new strategic partner, Sports Authority, Inc. as the presenting sponsor of OBYFA, Orange Bowl Youth Football Championships and the Orange Bowl Cheer & Dance Championships.

“Continuing to serve as the name and face of South Florida youth football, the Orange Bowl Committee believes this new partnership with Sports Authority will greatly benefit the 15,000 OBFYA participants both on and off the field,” said Eric Poms, CEO of the Orange Bowl Committee. “Embracing the same ideals of youth sports and competition we are delighted to welcome Sports Authority to the Orange Bowl family and look forward to a great season in 2010 for the OBYFA presented by Sports Authority.”

Inclusive of eight leagues across nine South Florida counties, the OBYFA partnership with Sports Authority will continue to help the benefactors of Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance presented by Sports Authority. In its 11 years, the Orange Bowl Committee has invested nearly $5 million in youth sports in South Florida.  In addition to becoming an active participant in the South Florida youth football community, the partnership with Sports Authority will also include:

  • An on-site Sports Authority presence at the OBYFA “Park of the Week,” enhancing the athletic and spectator experience and offering special offers to OBYFA participants
  • Counsel with parks and leagues to ensure participants have the best equipment available by visiting their local Sports Authority store
  • OBYFA registration drives in local  Sports Authority locations
  • A dedicated OBYFA presented by Sports Authority equipment and apparel section in local stores
