La Riviera, Sofitel Miami’s upscale French restaurant, will hold the 2011 1st edition of its ongoing Wine Pairing Dinner Series this January 27th featuring sumptuous Beaujolais Grands Crus paired with the perfect meals. Executive Chef Pierre Sudre, who is a firm believer that food and wine bring people closer together, invites everyone who has an appreciation for wine, whether they’re new or connoisseurs, for a toast to friendship & laughter! This event will appeal to those looking to appreciate different types of wines in a social setting, while enjoying the unique experience of sharing, tasting, and good times.
For this first edition of the year, Chef Sudre is preparing delights such as a crusted walnut wafer with melted goat cheese, tasty Duck confit, roasted quails and plum clafouti. Chef Sudre, a native of South France, specializes in French cuisine with a contemporary twist and also enjoys combining the styles and flavors from his experience cooking around the world. Each Wine Pairing Dinner Series at La Riviera is like an expertly-run wine class – designed to broaden the diner’s knowledge of cuisine and teach them how to pair food and wine in their own home. Wine connoisseurs will be on hand at La Riviera to explain the wines and enhance the customer’s experience. Between courses, wine representatives will conduct trivia quizzes and offer participants the opportunity to win a variety of prizes such as bottles and signature corkscrews.
