Come and join The Vizcayans on Saturday, October 30, 2010 as we celebrate the 24th Annual Halloween Sundowner at Vizcaya, a fundraiser to benefit Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. Begin making your plans now to attend South Florida’s most popular and well-attended Halloween party. You and your friends can dance the night away as you “rock-out” in support of the Arts at one of the most beautiful historic homes still left in existence in the United States. When you purchase a ticket to this event, you will be helping to advance The Vizcayans mission to protect and preserve Vizcaya for generations to come. In exchange for your donation, you will enjoy free premium liquor cocktails throughout the night from 8 p.m. until midnight.
Is all that activity giving you a serious case of the munchies? No problem…we will be providing plenty of free bite-sized nibbles and bagged crunchy snacks for everyone.
Don’t like drinking on an empty stomach? Then amble on over to the outdoor food court where you can choose from several savory, grilled meat and vegetable sandwich choices. All great eats and priced thoughtfully…as not to burn a hole in your pocket.
Finding yourself completely fueled up and ready to cut loose? Then step outside into the cool night air and then pick a floor. A dance floor that is…there’s two of them and each with its own DeeJay. Choose the groove that fits your mood and then shake until its time to head home.
Not much of a dancer? Then you might be a people watcher and if that’s the case then you’ve just found yourself in “People-Watching Heaven”. Keep a close eye out on the crowd. Maybe you’ll guess who the ultimate winner will be at this year’s “Best Costume Contest” at the end of the night.
The Vizcayans engages broad participation in the preservation and advancement of Vizcaya Museum and Gardens as an accredited museum and a National Historic Landmark through financial support, advocacy and other activities. The proceeds of the event will support The Vizcayans and their mission.
