Food Drive at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek’s Fresh Harvest Restaurant

Bring in Five Non-Perishable Items and Get $5 Off of Dinner

Every Tuesday in March from 5 – 10 p.m.

Seminole Casino Coconut Creek’s Fresh Harvest will collect food donations every Tuesday in March from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. to support Feeding South Florida, a non-profit organization. The casino’s acclaimed marketplace-style restaurant is offering a $5 discount off of the regular price of dinner at their extensive buffet for each guest who donates five or more canned or non-perishable food items (examples include cereal, canned tuna, juice boxes, peanut butter and crackers).

“It takes the effort of the entire community to pull together for its neighbors in need,” said Paco Velez, president and CEO of Feeding South Florida. “We appreciate Seminole Casino Coconut Creek’s leadership in supporting our mission to end hunger.”

The donated food will be collected and distributed by Feeding South Florida. Originally formed as the Daily Bread Food Bank in 1981, Feeding South Florida distributes approximately two million pounds of food each month to hungry South Floridians including children and the elderly, the unemployed and working poor, the disabled, the homeless, and victims of natural disasters, illness and violence. Feeding South Florida’s mission is to end hunger by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts and transforming lives through innovative programming and education.
