Young Professionals of the Lighthouse: Raising Awareness and Funds for Miami Lighthouse
The Young Professionals of the Lighthouse have been at it since 2003 — a testament to what happens when a volunteer group finds the right cause and the right community.
Part of our ongoing curation of what it means to live, love, and play in the Magic City.
Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired has been serving the community for nearly a century. The Young Professionals of the Lighthouse have been amplifying that mission since 2003 — and they show no signs of slowing down.
YPOL was established to target young professionals between the ages of 25 and 40. This volunteer group helps raise awareness and funds through various social activities in the community, hosting social gatherings throughout the year for networking and raising funds for special Miami Lighthouse needs.
The model is straightforward: bring together young professionals who want to do good, give them a reason to gather, and let the community and the cause benefit from the energy in the room. It has worked for more than two decades.
