Wynwood Music Series Brings Soul Musician Matt Brown to Panther Coffee
The Wynwood BID's monthly free concert series returns October 15 with soul artist and loop innovator Matt Brown performing on the outdoor patio at Panther Coffee.
Part of our ongoing curation of what it means to live, love, and play in the Magic City.
Wynwood has always known how to turn a lunch break into something worth remembering. On Thursday, October 15, the Wynwood Music Series makes that case again — this time with soul musician and loop artist Matt Brown performing live on the outdoor patio at Panther Coffee, 2390 NW 2nd Avenue, from noon to 2 p.m. Admission is free and open to everyone.
Presented by the Wynwood Business Improvement District, the series has built a reputation for bringing genuine musical talent into the neighborhood's everyday rhythm — no ticket required, no velvet rope, just good sound in a great setting.
Brown is a musician, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist who has performed across the United States and internationally. His work draws from soul music and live looping — a technique that lets a single performer build layered, full-band textures in real time — and carries the collaborative spirit he has cultivated as founder of the Soulfam Collective. His sets move between original compositions and covers, shaped by the room and the moment.
The Panther Coffee patio is one of Wynwood's most naturally social outdoor spaces — open to the street, surrounded by the neighborhood's murals and galleries, and anchored by some of Miami's best coffee. It's a setting that suits Brown's approach: intimate, unhurried, built for connection.
The Wynwood Music Series runs on the third Thursday of each month, rotating through different performers and styles. October's edition is a strong reason to plan your lunch hour around the Arts District — and to linger a little longer in the galleries, shops and restaurants that make the neighborhood worth exploring before and after the show.
