The most ambitious concert production in rock history arrived in Miami when U2 brought their 360° Tour to Land Shark Stadium on October 9, 2009. The band performed beneath a 164-foot steel "claw" structure — the largest concert stage ever built — in the round for a crowd of more than 60,000.
The setlist drew from across the band's catalog, opening with "Breathe" from the then-new album No Line on the Horizon and moving through classics including "Beautiful Day," "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "With or Without You," and a closing "Moment of Surrender." Bono addressed the crowd between songs with characteristic warmth, dedicating "One" to the people of Haiti.
The 360° Tour was produced by Live Nation and would go on to become the highest-grossing concert tour in history at the time, selling more than 7.2 million tickets across 110 shows worldwide. The Miami date was one of only two Florida stops on the North American leg.
