Little Steven Van Zandt — founding member and guitarist of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, host of Little Steven's Underground Garage, and Silvio Dante on The Sopranos — spoke with Premier Guide Miami's Daedrian McNaughton about his new international music platform Fuzztopia, designed to help emerging artists across all 53 genres of music get discovered and manage their careers.. Premier Guide Miami sat down to find out what that means — and what comes next.

Steven Van Zandt — the scarf-and-bandana-wearing guitarist known as Little Steven or Miami Steven — is a founding member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, an accomplished record producer, songwriter, musician, and actor. He is the host of Little Steven's Underground Garage, a weekly syndicated radio show celebrating garage rock and similar sub-genres from the 1950s to the present day. In the late 1990s he began acting, playing the role of Silvio Dante in HBO's hit series The Sopranos for seven successful seasons.

Steven recently spoke with Premier Guide Miami's Daedrian McNaughton about his new venture, Fuzztopia.

Love Miami

Love Miami covers the city's conversations — the interviews, the creative voices, the tastemakers and innovators who define South Florida's cultural identity. This is the pillar where Miami speaks for itself.

Steven Van Zandt: Fuzztopia is the first international music website. Every genre of music — around 53 genres — across technology and everything about the business. It will be a way for everyone starting out to have their music heard and discovered, and at the same time to give them a little bit of help. Songwriting and business seminars to help people manage their own career, and to also help them realize they can't do everything themselves — there's help. We are known as the people who give emerging bands a chance on our radio show, and this is just an extension of that radio show. Not just for rock and roll this time, but for every single genre of music.

Steven believes that creating Fuzztopia will help form new infrastructures to support the careers of young musicians across the globe.
