Sounds of Screams Opens September 24 — Miami's First Full-Scale Halloween Amusement Park

Miami has a new Halloween destination — and it operates at a scale the city has never seen before. Sounds of Screams (SOS), a full-scale, multimillion-dollar Halloween amusement park, opens its gates on Thursday, September 24 and runs through Sunday, November 1 at the Miami-Dade Fair & Expo Center. Spread across 13 acres, SOS is built as a complete nighttime Halloween experience — five immersive haunted houses, carnival rides, scare zones, horror-themed food and drinks, and live scares throughout the grounds.

"Designed as a Halloween destination for the entire community, SOS brings together immersive horror and a full night of entertainment," said Humberto Alvarez, founder of Sounds of Screams. "These aren't just haunted houses. This is Halloween on a scale Miami has never experienced before."

At the heart of the experience are five immersive haunted houses, each built around a distinct concept:

The Infected — A classified life engineering corporation fell silent the moment an outbreak began. Doors sealed, personnel trapped, infection spreading through the lab. A crashed delivery truck has ripped open the only way inside. Step through the wreckage and descend into the lab's twisted remains — where something is still alive, and waiting. Guests are warned: there is a 100% chance of close-range encounters.

Witch Trials of 1692 — Step back into Salem and experience the terror of the witch trials. Witness a trial unfold in the courtroom, find yourself imprisoned alongside the accused, escape into Salem Village, and enter the infamous Witch's House, where dark rituals and forbidden magic come alive.

Mitos y Leyendas — An immersive descent into the legends of Latin America — stories whispered for generations and the unknown that refuses to stay buried. Beginning in a forgotten Mexican pueblo, the journey crosses into Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Puerto Rico, and beyond. These are not just tales. They are warnings.

Dead End — An abandoned car lot full of surprising characters, enclosed within a perimeter wall of old shipping containers. Guests walk through a mysterious collection of junk cars and must find their own way back to the amusement park.

SOS House (18+ only) — Enter the home of Jack Hunter, a serial killer hiding behind the lens of a photographer. What begins as an obsession with capturing the perfect portrait reveals something far more disturbing. Move through his home, darkroom, and bloody workspace as you discover what happened to his previous subjects. Graphic, disturbing, and strictly 18+. There is a 100% chance of high-level psychological tension.

Beyond the haunted houses, SOS transforms the full 13 acres into a Halloween destination. Immersive scare zones — including a creepy cemetery — extend the scares between attractions. Carnival rides bring flashing lights and speed to the midway. The food and beverage program includes horror-themed treats, gourmet street food, premium spirits, draft beer, and signature Sounds of Screams craft cocktails.

One ticket unlocks the night. General Admission starts at $44.99 and includes unlimited access to all haunted houses and carnival rides. Fast Pass starts at $99 and adds expedited haunted-house access. VIP tickets are $349.99 and include unlimited front-of-line access to all haunted houses plus an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the SOS creative headquarters and operations center. A Season Pass for unlimited visits is available at $149.99. The park is open to all ages.
