With three weeks to go before the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar Games and Miami-Dade County have finalized a $3.9 million marketing agreement that will turn real Miami infrastructure into Vice City. Mayor Daniella Levine Cava confirmed the deal, which expands on the Vice City branding already visible around the county — including the sign on the roof of Kaseya Center — with a broader wave of installations still to come.

What's Coming to Miami

The agreement includes Vice City-themed lighting at Miami International Airport and PortMiami, promotional displays on the pedestrian walkways connecting MIA's parking garages to the terminals, and decorative gradient wraps on selected traffic signal cabinets throughout Miami-Dade County. All signage will be installed, maintained, and removed entirely at Rockstar's expense. The airport and port components had previously faced pushback from county sheriffs, but that opposition has been resolved and installations are now underway.

The Mayor's Take

"With millions of people around the world waiting for this release, we have an opportunity to make sure Miami-Dade benefits from that attention," Mayor Levine Cava said in the announcement. "These agreements allow us to turn that excitement into additional revenue for our community."

The deal also includes bonus promotional purchases through media companies representing MIA and the county's transportation system. GTA 6 launches November 18. The Vice City transformation of Miami is already in progress — and MIA's Central Garden is already glowing in the colors to prove it.
