Hard Rock Live in Hollywood has hosted some of the most memorable nights in South Florida's concert history. Rascal Flatts on February 14 added another one to the list.
Rascal Flatts brought their Life Is a Highway Tour to Hard Rock Live in Hollywood on February 14, and the Valentine's Day timing gave the evening an extra charge — the crowd was in a celebratory mood from the first note, and the band delivered a 19-song set that gave them every reason to stay that way. They opened with a Journey cover of "Don't Stop Believin'" before a medley of "Here's to You / The Boys Are Back in Town" set the tone for a night that would balance country radio hits with unexpected covers. "Yours If You Want It," "Fast Cars and Freedom," "Stand," "Mayberry," and "Prayin' for Daylight" preceded Lauren Alaina 's guest appearance on "My Wish," one of the night's most warmly received moments. Joe Don Rooney took a solo turn on "I'm Movin' On" before Chris Lane joined for "These Days" and Jay DeMarcus delivered a solo medley of "Sweet Caroline / Don't Stop Believin'." "Bless the Broken Road," a traditional cover of "O the Blood of Jesus," "What Hurts the Most," and "Me and My Gang" closed the main set before the encore brought "Summer Nights" and a closing "Life Is a Highway" that sent the crowd out into the Florida night singing. The Convergence: November in Miami
November is the month Miami stops pretending it is not the most interesting city in the country. The weather breaks. The calendar stacks. The polo ponies arrive on South Beach. Olivia Rodrigo plays two nights. Shakira closes the month at Kaseya. Miami Book Fair takes over Wolfson Campus. And Art Week is three weeks out — which means the reservation windows are already closing. Here is what we are watching.
On the Radar: November 2–8
GEMS closes out with Turturro and a Mike Leigh retrospective. The South Miami Art Festival takes over Sunset Drive. A 40-seat Syrian long table on Miami Beach is nearly full. GableStage opens Liberation. NASCAR Championship Weekend hits Homestead. And Tony Robbins takes over Kaseya for four days. This is the week the city shifts.
Inside the Room: Apotheke South Beach Opens With Three Nights of Celebration
Before the doors officially opened on October 30, Apotheke South Beach hosted three nights of exclusive celebrations — botanical cocktails, a prix fixe dinner at Naked Tomato, and a first look at the hidden lounge tucked behind an unmarked entrance on Washington Avenue.
The Best Place to Watch the NFL in Miami Is a Wine Bar on Coral Way
La Bibliothèque By Chèvre on Coral Way runs a Sunday NFL Experience every week through the season — live games in a curated wine bar setting with sommelier-selected pours, artisanal cheese boards, and limited seating. It is the most civilized way to watch football in South Florida.
