Premier Guide Miami was on the scene. Here is what we witnessed.
Paramore headlined the 2010 Honda Civic Tour at Bayfront Park Amphitheatre in Miami on Labor Day weekend, September 4, 2010, with Tegan and Sara in support. Hayley Williams and her band were touring behind brand new eyes — their third album, certified gold, which had debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 and been named Album of the Year by Alternative Press readers.
Tegan and Sara opened with a set that drew from Sainthood and their back catalog — the twin sisters' harmonies and emotionally direct songwriting warming the Bayfront crowd perfectly. Paramore followed with a set built around brand new eyes alongside material from All We Know Is Falling and Riot! — "Ignorance," "Brick By Boring Brick," "Misery Business," "Decode," "That's What You Get," and "Paramore" among the highlights.
Williams's vocal performance was extraordinary — the kind of raw, committed singing that makes Paramore's records feel like live performances and their live performances feel like something more. The Bayfront Park setting — open air, Labor Day weekend, the Downtown Miami skyline visible in the distance — gave the show a scale that matched the music's ambition.

The Convergence: November in Miami
November is the month Miami stops pretending it is not the most interesting city in the country. The weather breaks. The calendar stacks. The polo ponies arrive on South Beach. Olivia Rodrigo plays two nights. Shakira closes the month at Kaseya. Miami Book Fair takes over Wolfson Campus. And Art Week is three weeks out — which means the reservation windows are already closing. Here is what we are watching.
On the Radar: November 2–8
GEMS closes out with Turturro and a Mike Leigh retrospective. The South Miami Art Festival takes over Sunset Drive. A 40-seat Syrian long table on Miami Beach is nearly full. GableStage opens Liberation. NASCAR Championship Weekend hits Homestead. And Tony Robbins takes over Kaseya for four days. This is the week the city shifts.
Inside the Room: Apotheke South Beach Opens With Three Nights of Celebration
Before the doors officially opened on October 30, Apotheke South Beach hosted three nights of exclusive celebrations — botanical cocktails, a prix fixe dinner at Naked Tomato, and a first look at the hidden lounge tucked behind an unmarked entrance on Washington Avenue.
The Best Place to Watch the NFL in Miami Is a Wine Bar on Coral Way
La Bibliothèque By Chèvre on Coral Way runs a Sunday NFL Experience every week through the season — live games in a curated wine bar setting with sommelier-selected pours, artisanal cheese boards, and limited seating. It is the most civilized way to watch football in South Florida.
