This Weekend's Geography
2 neighborhoodsOceania Cruises® has unveiled its 2027 and 2028 European voyage collection — and the headline is a first. For the first time, the line will run a full winter season in the Mediterranean, with 17 voyages aboard Oceania Allura™ spanning November 2027 through March 2028. Ranging from nine to 26 days, the sailings connect Barcelona, Rome, Athens and Istanbul — the same iconic ports, but slower, quieter and at a different temperature.
The broader collection spans Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, the Adriatic and the Aegean. Oceania's itineraries are built around the contrast between landmark capitals — Rome, Paris, London, Barcelona, Istanbul — and the places most cruise lines skip: Golfo Aranci in Sardinia, Gythion and Skiathos in Greece, Kotor in Montenegro, Taranto in Puglia, and Çanakkale, the gateway to ancient Troy. Overnight and extended stays in Bordeaux, Hamburg and Florence/Pisa/Tuscany give passengers time to actually settle in.
The first-ever full winter Mediterranean season — 17 voyages, November 2027 through March 2028. Quieter piazzas, cooler temperatures, no summer crowds.
Five voyages anchor the new collection. The Atlantic Wine Trails sailing runs 10 days from Lisbon to London (April 24, 2027, aboard Oceania Insignia™), tracing the wine regions of the Iberian Peninsula and France with an overnight in Bordeaux. The Mysteries of History voyage covers nine days from Rome to Istanbul (May 24, 2027, aboard Oceania Sirena™), calling on Syracuse, Mykonos, Skiathos and Çanakkale. The Glacial Adventure runs 13 days from Copenhagen to Reykjavik (July 26, 2027, aboard Oceania Marina™), moving through Norway's fjords — Eidfjord, Stavanger, Måløy — before crossing to Iceland.
For the winter season, the Warm Winter Wonderland voyage departs Athens on December 8, 2027, aboard Oceania Allura — 12 days through Limassol, Rhodes, Ephesus, Valletta, Trapani and Palma de Mallorca before ending in Barcelona. And the Iconic Art & Architecture sailing departs Rome on January 31, 2028, for a nine-day roundtrip through Porto Torres, Palma, Tunis, Trapani and Valletta. Gastronomy runs through all of it: Oceania's Culinary Discovery Tours™ take passengers into local markets and family-run producers before a chef-led lunch.
