Niki Taylor on Celebrity Apprentice: "Star and Dionne Are Absolutely Bullies"

Niki Taylor said it plainly: "They have absolutely no joy in their lives and they are bullies. — Niki Taylor on Star Jones and Dionne Warwick" — and Premier Guide Miami was in the room when it happened.

On March 23, 2011, supermodel Niki Taylor joined a press call following her elimination from NBC's Celebrity Apprentice . She had served as project manager for the Camping World task and, finding no one to blame for the loss, took the fall herself — one of the most graceful boardroom exits the show had seen. Daedrian McNaughton spoke with her about the bullying dynamic on the women's team, Star Jones's legal-minded game play, and why she has no regrets.

They have absolutely no joy in their lives and they are bullies.

In the last episode, Hope had mentioned something about Star being a bully. Would you consider Star or Dionne Warwick to be bullies?

Absolutely. That's all I have to say. I don't think just the TV has to show their true character. They have absolutely no joy in their lives and they are bullies.

In the previous episode, Star Jones directed the challenges including the last project when you were project manager. Did this somewhat undermine your abilities as the leader? And you also mentioned that Dionne seemed miserable and didn't want to be there — why didn't you bring her back in the boardroom with you?

Because she did what she was asked. She went to Bed, Bath & Beyond — we didn't see that part — and she was gone until our time was up. She did everything she was asked. Going against Star Jones, who is a lawyer — she's already got all the questions, she's already got all the answers. I definitely did not lead like Star did. I don't think you need to lead in this particular task for Camping World. It was fun, it was supposed to be an experience, it was supposed to be light. Everybody was in charge of their own area of the RV. I think Star just had to make sure that in case I brought her back in the boardroom, she covered all her bases. That's kind of what you always had to keep in the back of your mind with Star.

Taylor had won $135,000 for the American Red Cross in the season's first episode — a charity she chose because she needed over 100 units of blood after a near-fatal car accident in 2001. She said the experience pushed her out of her comfort zone and taught her to speak up more. Her dark-horse picks for the rest of the season: Marlee Matlin and NeNe Leakes. Celebrity Apprentice aired Sundays at 9 p.m. on NBC.
