Nicklaus Children's Young Ambassadors: Advocating for Kids, Building Careers

The Nicklaus Children's Young Ambassadors are what happens when a group of young professionals decides that networking and doing good are not mutually exclusive — they are the same thing.

Some membership organizations ask you to write a check. The Nicklaus Children's Young Ambassadors ask you to show up — and the difference is significant.

NCYA is a membership organization for young professionals between the ages of 22 and 45 who have a strong commitment to improving the lives of children in the community and beyond. Members advocate for children's issues and serve as community ambassadors on behalf of Nicklaus Children's Hospital — one of the leading pediatric hospitals in the country.

The group offers the opportunity to network with prestigious business and community leaders, meet with key hospital and foundation personnel, and determine how donations can best be used to benefit the children of the community. Numerous events throughout the year create additional awareness for the hospital's work.

The signature event is Fashion Gives Back, the annual fundraiser that has become one of the most anticipated evenings on Miami's philanthropic calendar. Membership requires a total pledge of $3,000 minimum payable over three years — $100 monthly, $250 quarterly, or $1,000 yearly.

For information, contact Carmen Hidalgo at Nicklaus Children's Hospital, 3100 S.W. 62nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33155. Visit nicklauschildrens.org/ncya.
