Three Things Worth Your Wednesday
Vizcaya goes spooky, Barnes & Noble opens in Midtown, and III Points Satellite kicks off at ZeyZey. Wednesday has no excuse.
Part of our ongoing curation of what it means to live, love, and play in the Magic City.
The week is already moving. Here are three things on Wednesday that are worth rearranging your evening for.
Coconut Grove
Vizcaya after dark is already one of Miami's better-kept secrets. The spooky edition — with Books & Books in the mix — leans into the estate's natural atmosphere without overdoing it. Cocktails, the gardens, and the bay at night. Tickets required; doors at 6:30 PM.
Midtown
A proper bookstore opening in Miami is worth noting. The Midtown location brings a full-service Barnes & Noble to a neighborhood that needed one — and the grand opening means events, signings, and the particular energy of a space that hasn't been broken in yet. Worth a walk-through even if you're not buying.
Wynwood
Neon Indian, Twin Shadow, and Washed Out on the same bill is a genuine throwback to a specific era of indie electronic that aged better than most. ZeyZey is the right room for it — intimate enough that the sound actually lands. This is the opening night of the III Points Satellite series; the full festival runs through the weekend.
Three picks. One night. Wednesday earns it.
