Miami has a reputation as an expensive city to eat in. That reputation is earned at the top end — MILA, Mastro's, Zuma, and their peers are not cheap. But the late-night booking data tells a more nuanced story: a significant portion of Miami's after-10 PM dining scene operates at a $$ price point, and several of those restaurants are genuinely excellent. Here's where to eat well after 10 PM without spending $200.

Bakan — Wynwood

4.6 stars, 2,015 reviews, $$ price point, 10 PM seating. Bakan is one of the most consistently excellent Mexican restaurants in Miami, and the Wynwood location means you're in the middle of the city's best late-night neighborhood. The mezcal program is serious, the tacos are made with care, and the outdoor patio is one of the better places to be in Miami on a warm night. Book the 10 PM slot and plan to stay.

Havana 1957 — Española Way

4.7 stars, 1,627 reviews, $$ price point, 10:45 PM seating with Miami Spice pricing. Havana 1957 on Española Way is one of the most underrated late-night options in Miami. The Cuban cuisine is authentic, the setting on one of South Beach's most atmospheric streets is unmatched, and the Miami Spice menu makes it genuinely affordable. The 10:45 PM seating puts you on Española Way when it's at its best — lit up, lively, and unhurried.

450Gradi — Coral Gables

4.1 stars, 556 reviews, $$ price point, seats until midnight. The Neapolitan pizza concept in Coral Gables is the best late-night option in the Gables, full stop. The wood-fired pizzas are made with imported Italian ingredients, the wine list is focused and affordable, and the midnight seating means you can have a proper dinner after a show at the Miracle Theatre or a concert at the Coral Gables Art Cinema. It's the kind of neighborhood restaurant that every neighborhood should have.

Santorini by Georgios — South Beach

4.3 stars, 3,052 reviews, $$ price point, 10:45 PM seating. Santorini by Georgios is a South Beach institution that doesn't get enough credit. The Greek menu is straightforward and well-executed, the setting is classic South Beach, and the 10:45 PM seating means you can have dinner after the beach crowd has thinned. The 3,052 reviews reflect a restaurant that has been doing this for a long time and doing it consistently.

Mangrove — Downtown Miami

4.6 stars, 190 reviews, $$ price point, 9:15 PM seating. Mangrove is one of the newer entries in Downtown Miami's dining scene, and the Caribbean-influenced menu is doing something genuinely interesting. The 4.6 rating with 190 reviews suggests a kitchen that's operating at a high level and hasn't been discovered yet. The $$ price point makes it one of the best value propositions in Downtown Miami.

News Cafe — South Beach

4.3 stars, 140 reviews, $$ price point, 10:45 PM seating. News Cafe is a South Beach landmark that has been open since 1988. The American menu is not the point — the location on Ocean Drive, the 24-hour operation, and the people-watching are. The 10:45 PM seating puts you on Ocean Drive at its most cinematic. It's not the best food on this list, but it's the most Miami experience, and sometimes that's exactly what you want.

The Miami Spice Factor

Miami Spice is still running through October, which means several restaurants that would normally exceed the $60 threshold are currently accessible at $35 (lunch) or $50 (dinner). Havana 1957, Sumak, Grand Public, Ossobuco, Zuma, and L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon are all running Spice menus. If you've been waiting to try a restaurant that's normally out of reach, this week is the window.
