From Vizcaya to Wynwood: Miami's Charity Season Runs Through Spring

This Weekend's Geography
6 neighborhoodsMiami's charity gala season is not a single evening or even a single month. It is a nine-month civic ritual that runs from October through June, touching nearly every corner of the city's philanthropic landscape — children's health, the arts, housing, education, immigration, the environment, and more. This is the full sweep of the 2026–2027 season.
The Fall Rush: October & November
October opens the season with a packed calendar: the Nicklaus Diamond Ball and Wild About Kids Gala on October 10, the Coral Gables Community Foundation's 35th anniversary La Dolce Notte on October 16, Chapman Partnership's Illuminations Gala on October 17, and the Baptist Health Grand Gala alongside Guitars Over Guns' 90s-themed evening on October 24.
November is the season's peak. The Frost Museum of Science hosts An Evening of Discovery: The Science Behind Pixar on November 5. November 7 is the most crowded single night — PAMM's Art of the Party, the Make-A-Wish InterContinental Ball, the Beaux Arts Ball, and Americans for Immigrant Justice's 30th Anniversary Gala all fall on the same evening. Nicklaus Children's Fashion Gives Back follows on November 12, and the Young Patronesses of the Opera present Opera Meets Jazz on November 13.
The fall season closes with the Vizcaya Ball on November 21 — the 69th edition of Miami's most storied philanthropic evening, set on the grounds of the 1916 Italian Renaissance villa on Biscayne Bay. There is no more singular Miami experience on the gala calendar.
December: The Bridge
Camillus House's 27th Annual Hope for All Gala on December 5 bridges the fall and winter seasons, celebrating the organization's decades of service to Miami's most vulnerable residents. It is one of the most emotionally resonant evenings of the year.
January: The Arts Take Center Stage
January opens with YoungArts Miami Gala on January 9 — a vibrant evening celebrating the next generation of American artists at the YoungArts Campus on Biscayne Boulevard. The WDNA Jazz Gala follows on January 15, supporting Miami's only jazz and new music public radio station. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden's Splendor in the Garden on January 21 and the Friends of The Underline Sneaker Ball on January 30 round out a strong arts-and-culture month.
February & March: The Anchor Evenings
February brings Fairchild's Gala in the Garden (February 6), the Miami Lighthouse 95 Years & Beyond Gala (February 6), the American Heart Association Miami Heart Ball (February 20), MOCA's A Night in Paradise (February 20), the Dolphins Cancer Challenge XVII (February 27), and the New World Symphony's 39th Anniversary Gala at the Frank Gehry-designed New World Center (February 27).
March opens with the Vizcaya Preservation Luncheon (March 2), United Way's Women United Breakfast (March 3), the Greater Miami Jewish Federation's Young Leadership Masquerade Ball (March 6), the Alzheimer's Association Sunshine Gala (March 6), Women's Fund Miami-Dade's Power of the Purse (March 12), and the Adrienne Arsht Center's 21st Anniversary Gala (March 13).
April & Beyond: The Long Finish
April is the season's most crowded month by event count: the Junior League Women Who Make a Difference Luncheon (April 3), the Voices For Children Golf Invitational (April 5), and a remarkable four-gala night on April 10 — Jackson Health Foundation's Golden Angels Gala, Miami Children's Museum's Be A Kid Again Gala, St. Jude's 25th Annual Angels and Stars Gala, and Kristi House's Beneath the Northern Lights. The month closes with the Florida Grand Opera's 85th Anniversary Gala on April 24.
The season winds down in May and June with Informed Families' Dinner at Joe's Stone Crab (May 10), Ronald McDonald House's Twelve Good Men (May 14), the Miami Beach Chamber's 101st Annual Gala (May 15), the United Way Mayor's Ball (May 15), and Habitat for Humanity's Hard Hats & High Heels (June 2).
