Miami-Dade WishMakers: The Young Professionals Making More Wishes Come True
The WishMakers are proof that a group of motivated young professionals, given a meaningful cause and the freedom to have fun with it, can move mountains — or at least grant wishes.
Part of our ongoing curation of what it means to live, love, and play in the Magic City.
The premise is simple: get involved, create awareness, and have fun doing it. The WishMakers have built an entire organization around that idea — and the results speak for themselves.
Miami-Dade WishMakers is a group of business professionals who volunteer to plan local events and provide leadership, networking, and steadfast commitment to raise funds and awareness for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida. Their goal is straightforward: help make more wishes come true, year after year.
They do it by getting involved in the community, creating awareness, and — importantly — by having fun at their fundraising events. The WishMakers understand that the best way to sustain a volunteer organization is to make participation genuinely enjoyable. That philosophy has kept the group active and growing.
For young professionals in South Florida who want to network with purpose and contribute to something that changes children's lives, the WishMakers offer a compelling entry point. For information, visit sfla.wish.org/ways-to-help/fundraising/wishmakers-on-campus. The WishMakers are based at 2901 Stirling Road, Suite 208, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312.
