Kush Wynwood Is Back — and the Mural Says Everything
The beloved Wynwood burger institution has reopened with a new space, a new mural, and the same unapologetic energy that made it a neighborhood anchor.
Part of our ongoing curation of what it means to live, love, and play in the Magic City.
Kush Wynwood is back. The burger institution that helped define the neighborhood's food identity has reopened in a new space on NW 2nd Avenue, and the first thing you notice is the mural — a sprawling zodiac piece by Dubbins that wraps the exterior and announces the return with the kind of visual confidence the restaurant has always carried.
The new corridor inside is lined with names — a tribute to the community that kept Kush in the conversation during its hiatus. It's the kind of detail that separates a neighborhood restaurant from a brand, and Kush has always been the former.
The new space is larger than the original, with an expanded bar program and a patio that faces the street. The energy on opening week was exactly what Wynwood needed — a reminder that the neighborhood's best restaurants are the ones that have been here long enough to mean something.
