7UP Named a Flavor After Miami. Here’s Everything Keurig Dr Pepper Is Launching in 2027.
The 7UP Miami Vice flavor is strawberry daiquiri and piña colada in a can — and it’s just one of more than 25 new items KDP is rolling out next year.
Part of our ongoing curation of what it means to live, love, and play in the Magic City.
Keurig Dr Pepper just previewed its 2027 innovation pipeline at the National Association of Convenience Stores Show in Las Vegas — and one of the headliners is named after this city. 7UP Miami Vice is a strawberry daiquiri and piña colada flavored soda, arriving nationwide in June 2027 as a limited-time offering. It is exactly what it sounds like: the classic frozen cocktail combination, in a can, caffeine-free.
The Miami Vice flavor — half strawberry daiquiri, half piña colada — has been a fixture at South Florida beach clubs and pool bars for decades. The fact that a major national brand is now putting it on a can is either a tribute or a sign that the rest of the country has finally caught up. Both regular and zero sugar versions are coming.
Ghost Energy Hits $1 Billion
Ghost Energy is now a $1 billion brand at retail, and KDP is doubling down. The 2027 lineup includes Ghost Energy Sour Strips Appleberry — a green apple and strawberry blend launching nationwide in January — plus a limited-time Blueberry Cream flavor described as “nostalgic yogurt-inspired.” Ghost’s existing 7UP and A&W collaborations, which launched as limited-time releases in 2026, are being made permanent.
Ghost has a strong foothold in South Florida’s fitness and gym culture — the brand is a fixture at CrossFit boxes, HIIT studios, and supplement shops across Miami-Dade and Broward. The Sour Strips Appleberry is zero sugar, 200mg caffeine, and built for the pre-workout crowd.
Dr Pepper Ice Cream Float Is a Permanent Addition
Dr Pepper Ice Cream Float is not a limited-time stunt. KDP is launching it as a permanent offering nationwide, starting February 2027 in cans and 20 oz. bottles, with fountain and frozen dispensed formats arriving mid-year. The flavor blends Dr Pepper’s signature 23-flavor profile with vanilla ice cream, caramel, and butterscotch. Regular and zero sugar both.
For Miami, the fountain and frozen dispensed formats are the interesting part. Once those roll out mid-2027, expect to see it at convenience stores, movie theaters, and fast-casual spots across the city.
Sunkist Gets a Recipe Upgrade
Sunkist Orange is getting a reformulation in Q1 2027 — updated graphics and a new recipe with improved orange taste, described as more fruit-forward. The brand has been a staple in Miami’s Cuban cafeterias and Latin grocery stores for years. Whether the new formula lands with regulars remains to be seen, but KDP is framing it as a meaningful investment in one of its most iconic brands.
The full 2027 pipeline also includes Canada Dry Raspberry Lemonade (Spring 2027), 7UP Shirley Temple returning for the holidays, and more than 25 new energy items across KDP’s portfolio. The NACS Show preview in Las Vegas also teased upcoming innovations from Snapple, Electrolit, Polar, La Colombe, and Vita Coco.
The PGM Edit
