Hoy Como Ayer does Halloween the Little Havana way: no cover, salsa and merengue all night, and a costume contest with a $200 gift card on the line. The party is Friday, October 30, doors at 8 p.m. Votes are collected throughout the night; the winner is crowned at 11:30 p.m. Late-night happy hour runs from 10 p.m. to close, with live percussion and timbales keeping things moving. Costume contest is 21+ with valid ID.
Thursday through Saturday, the bar also pours three limited-edition Manojo Mezcal cocktails: La Llorona ($15) — strawberry, Campari, lime, agave, fire tincture. One Wish Willow ($15) — peach, Suze, kiwi, lime. Sinners ($15) — espresso, coffee, pumpkin syrup, chocolate bitters.
