Miami Chef Michael Beltran Brings Vice City to the Bar Menu at Hoy Como Ayer, The Scapegoat, and Chug's Diner

With GTA VI set to debut November 19 and Vice City blimps already circling Miami, chef Michael Beltran's Ariete Hospitality Group is leaning in. Starting November 9, three of his venues — Hoy Como Ayer in Little Havana, The Scapegoat in South of Fifth, and Chug's Diner — launch limited-time GTA-inspired cocktail menus priced at $14 each. The drinks riff on the game's fictional characters, landmarks, and Miami touchstones: a cafecito-inspired tribute to GTA's Bean Machine coffee chain, a rum margarita at the recently revamped Scapegoat, and a Vercetti Margarita named for Vice City protagonist Tommy Vercetti at Chug's.

Grand Theft Auto VI drops November 19, and Miami — the city that inspired Vice City — is already in character. GTA blimps have been spotted overhead, Vice City-branded signage is appearing around town, and now chef Michael Beltran's Ariete Hospitality Group is bringing the game to the bar menu. Starting November 9, three of his venues launch limited-time GTA VI-inspired cocktails, all priced at $14.

Hoy Como Ayer

The Little Havana music venue that has been a neighborhood staple since 1999 gets three Vice City cocktails. The Bean Machine Cafecito pays tribute to GTA's fictional coffee chain and Miami's cafecito culture — Don Q Gran Reserva, Licor 43, and espresso. The Only in Vice riffs on the 'Only in Dade' slogan with rum, Campari, pineapple, and lime. The Gambit Bay nods to the fictional Vice City Manatees and Biscayne Bay with tequila, Ancho Verde, and passion fruit.

The Scapegoat

The intimate South of Fifth cocktail bar recently revamped its interiors with a 1980s-inspired aesthetic — green walls, brass fixtures, marble bar top — that already looks the part of a Vice City watering hole. For the GTA VI launch, The Scapegoat is teaming up with ¡SALUD! Miami for the Vice City Margarita: a rum-forward take on the classic made with white rum, orange liqueur, fresh lime, and simple syrup, finished with a Tajín rim.

Chug's Diner

GTA's Miami references get a Cuban-American spin at Chug's Diner. The Vercetti Margarita, named for Vice City protagonist Tommy Vercetti, combines blanco tequila, Ancho Verde, triple sec, and lime. The Starfish Island, inspired by the game's fictional millionaire enclave, mixes aged Don Q rum, pineapple liqueur, and citrus. The Havana Good Time pays homage to Little Havana — a neighborhood that exists both on and off the screen — with aged rum, banana liqueur, Velvet Falernum, lime, and Angostura bitters.

GTA VI Vice City cocktails available November 9 at Hoy Como Ayer (2212 SW 8th St), The Scapegoat (1437 Washington Ave), and Chug's Diner (1955 NE 150th St). All cocktails $14. GTA VI releases November 19.
