DOXA Unveils the SUB 300 Ti5: Grade 5 Titanium Returns to the Permanent Collection
Nearly sixty years after revolutionizing the dive watch, DOXA brings Grade 5 titanium back to the permanent SUB 300 collection — lighter, stronger, and COSC-certified — in seven expressions including the iconic Professional orange, Sharkhunter black, Caribbean blue, Red Coral, and a luminous new Whitepearl.
Part of our ongoing curation of what it means to live, love, and play in the Magic City.
Nearly sixty years after revolutionizing the dive watch with the original SUB 300 in 1967, DOXA returns Grade 5 titanium to its permanent collection with the new SUB 300 Ti5 — available now in seven distinct expressions, each COSC-certified and priced at USD $3,190.
The choice of material is deliberate. Grade 5 titanium — the benchmark in aerospace, motorsport, and advanced engineering — is approximately 40% lighter than stainless steel while offering greater mechanical strength. Its exceptional corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, and durability make it ideally suited to DOXA's philosophy of building watches for the long haul, both underwater and in everyday life. Used for the case, crown, and screw-in caseback, it makes the SUB 300 Ti5 noticeably more comfortable on the wrist over extended wear.
The fundamentals remain immutable. Like the 1967 original, the SUB 300 Ti5 is water-resistant to 300 meters and retains DOXA's famous patented unidirectional rotating bezel with its dual scale correlating depth and dive time to the US Navy no-decompression limits. All dive-related indications are coated in Super-LumiNova® beneath a domed, anti-reflective "glass box" sapphire crystal. The iconic oversized DOXA orange minute hand remains the diver's immediate visual reference. Power comes from a COSC-certified Swiss automatic movement beating at 28,800 vph with approximately 38 hours of power reserve.
Seven expressions define the new lineup:
• Professional — the iconic DOXA orange, synonymous with the SUB
• Sharkhunter — timeless black dial
• Caribbean — deep blue evoking the underwater world
• Red Coral — deep cherry red, at home in the city or in sport
• Whitepearl — offered in two versions (black or white strap), with a dial entirely coated in Super-LumiNova® that transforms at night into a spectacularly luminous instrument
The Whitepearl is a particular standout. By day, its intense white contrasts with the titanium's metallic gray. As light fades, the fully luminous dial changes character entirely — immediate, uniform legibility whether underwater or above it. All models are fitted with Dive Flex rubber straps featuring a woven texture.
The DOXA SUB 300 Ti5 is available now at doxawatches.com and through authorized DOXA retailers. Follow @doxawatches for updates.
