Fort Lauderdale’s Daniel’s, A Florida Steakhouse has been quietly building one of the better wine dinner programs in South Florida. On October 15, they’re doing a Darioush Wine Dinner — five courses, one night, $350 per guest. If you know Darioush, you already understand why this is worth the calendar hold.
Gioia Hospitality Group — the father-daughter operation behind Daniel’s, led by Thomas and Kassidy Angelo — has been pairing notable wine producers with a kitchen that takes its sourcing seriously. Culinary Director Chef Danny Ganem built the menu. Sommelier Daniel Bishop chose the pairings. The result is a five-course progression that reads less like a prix fixe and more like a case being made for why South Florida deserves this kind of evening.
The Menu
The evening opens with canapés alongside Darioush Signature Viognier 2025 — an aromatic, stone-fruit-forward white that sets the tone without overshadowing what’s coming. First course: Florida Spiny Lobster with Late Harvest Peaches, paired with Darioush Chardonnay 2023. The lobster-peach combination is the kind of move that sounds risky and lands exactly right when the kitchen knows what it’s doing.
Second course: Australian Gundagai Lamb Agnolotti with Darioush Shiraz 2023. Gundagai lamb is the real thing — grass-fed, from New South Wales, with the depth of flavor that makes a Shiraz pairing feel inevitable rather than obvious. Then the entrée: Florida Wagyu Eye of Rib with Potatoes Anna, paired with Darioush Cabernet Sauvignon. This is the centerpiece. Florida Wagyu is not a marketing term here — it’s a specific product, and the Darioush Cab is one of Napa’s more serious expressions of the grape.
The evening closes with Apple Tarte Tatin with Citrus Caramel, paired with Darioush Late Harvest Dessert Wine. A dessert course that earns its place rather than just filling one.
The Details
Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $350 per guest, plus tax. Reservations through Resy — and given the format, highly recommended before it fills. Daniel’s is at 620 S Federal Hwy in Fort Lauderdale, steps from the Brightline corridor if you’re coming from Miami.
