Located directly along the Himmarshee Canal on Las Olas Boulevard, Casa Sensei pairs its Pan-Asian and Latin American menu with private gondola dinner cruises through Fort Lauderdale's waterways. With the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show returning this month, it's the most fitting post-show dinner in the city.
Part of our ongoing curation of what it means to live, love, and play in the Magic City.
With the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show returning later this month, thousands of visitors will spend their days surrounded by yachts, marinas, and the waterways that earned Fort Lauderdale its 'Venice of America' nickname. For those wondering where to dine after the show, Casa Sensei lets the boating experience continue straight through dinner.
Located directly along the Himmarshee Canal on Las Olas Boulevard, Casa Sensei pairs its Pan-Asian and Latin American menu with one of Fort Lauderdale's most distinctive dining experiences — private dinner cruises through its longtime partnership with Riverfront Gondola Tours. Offered seven days a week, guests can board a private gondola beside the restaurant and cruise Fort Lauderdale's canals while dining on Casa Sensei dishes along the way.
The concept taps into a larger shift in how people are dining. According to OpenTable's 2026 Dining Trends Report, experiential dining increased 46% year over year, while 37% of Americans said they wanted to see even more experiential dining in 2026. Diners are increasingly looking beyond dinner and an activity, instead seeking restaurants where dinner is the activity itself.
Beyond its gondola dinners, guests can reserve an intimate omakase experience at the restaurant's small sushi counter, order its visually stunning Sushi for Two presented aboard a sushi boat, or finish the evening with the restaurant's signature complimentary cotton candy. Casa Sensei is located at 1000 SE 17th St., Fort Lauderdale.
