Americans for Immigrant Justice — AI Justice — is celebrating 30 years of protecting and promoting the basic human rights of immigrants. On November 7th, 2026, the organization marks that milestone with a 30th Anniversary Gala in Miami featuring a keynote address by renowned author Edwidge Danticat.

Danticat brings a voice recognized for its power and clear-eyed portrayal of how injustice shapes lives — a voice that has made her one of the most celebrated writers of her generation and a natural fit for an organization whose work spans unaccompanied immigrant children, trafficking survivors, domestic violence victims, and immigration detention watchdog efforts.

AI Justice operates in Florida and on a national level, advocating for immigrant groups with compelling claims to justice. The Young Professionals of AI Justice — YPAIJ — are the next generation of that work, organizing and socializing to raise awareness and support the organization's mission.

For information about the gala, contact news@aijustice.org or visit aijustice.org. Americans for Immigrant Justice is located at 3000 Biscayne Boulevard, Suite 400, Miami, FL 33137.
