The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Water Taxi today unveiled an all-new summer savings program, which offers fantastic discounts on its recently introduced local Hollywood route, as well as its express service from Fort Lauderdale to Hollywood. Today through September 30, guests can enjoy an all-day pass for these popular services for just $16. A great deal for locals and tourists alike, a ticket for the intercity service includes access to the entire Hollywood route, and can also be used on the Fort Lauderdale routes after 5 p.m. as a Moonlight Madness evening ticket.
Water Taxi’s intercity express service transports guests from Fort Lauderdale’s Hilton Marina/Convention Center (stop #6) to Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort (stop H1). Offering picturesque views of the Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale skylines, unique sights of Port Everglades, and surrounded by the natural beauty of Anne Kolb Nature Center and John U. Lloyd Beach State Park, the relaxing Intracoastal Waterway venture takes about one hour each way. Throughout the trip, the Water Taxi crew provides interesting and educational narration, while guests can take advantage of free popcorn and the full-service bar aboard three of the four express vessels (with the fourth being upgraded to include the feature this summer). The service runs seven days per week between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Hollywood’s local route, launched in January 2016, features five stops including Margaritaville’s 5 o’clock Somewhere Bar & Grill, Diplomat Resort & Spa, Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach, Beachwalk Resort and a new stop at Lake Point Towers in Hallandale Beach. In addition to the great venues at the stops, they also provide guests with convenient access to the exciting array of dining, shopping and other entertainment options available at Hollywood Beach and Broadwalk.
Further adding to the value of this summer discount program, Water Taxi tickets also entitle the holders to the benefits of the company’s Cruise and Save program. Through Cruise and Save, guests simply show their Water Taxi ticket at participating local restaurants, shops and recreational rental centers on the day of their trip to receive discounts.
