Join ICA Miami for Miami Art Week Opening Night, celebrating the opening of “One Day on Success Street,” a major survey for the work of Thomas Bayrle, the first American museum presentation dedicated to the renowned German artist. The Opening Night Members Preview will be followed by an After-Party featuring the Miami debut of Psychic TV. ICA Miami members, art fair VIP cardholders, and invited guests of the museum are welcome to join.
“One Day on Success Street” traces Bayrle’s profound observations of human civilization—particularly through developments in technology and our environments—over the course of his nearly 50-year career and across a range of mediums. A centerpiece of the survey will be Wire Madonna, a newly commissioned site-specific installation created for ICA Miami’s Atrium Gallery that sees the artist interpreting the icon of Madonna and Child in steel, marking the artist’s largest sculpture to date.
