THE WHARF” SOUTH FLORIDA’S MOST POPULAR POP-UP TO WELCOME MILLIONTH GUEST

Just on the heels of a one-year anniversary celebration that included fireworks, next weekend will mark another milestone for South Florida’s favorite pop-up event space, The Wharf. The venue, which is located on a bend on the Historic Miami River, will welcome its millionth guest.  Considering the exciting accomplishment, there will be a celebration Sunday January 27th, 2019 from 12 Noon until closing. Guests will have the opportunity to try their luck winning various prizes given away every hour.

The Wharf has helped re-shape the city’s dynamic local culinary and cultural scene since opening its doors. With a waterfront setting unlike any other in South Florida, the 30,000 square foot open-air pop-up has welcomed thousands looking to please their palates with some of the most delectable libations and culinary creations in town.

Business partners Emi Guerra and Alex Mantecon of The Wharf have been credited with injecting life into an area that was previously unused. The duo turned the parcel of land into a destination (not only for locals), but also tourists visiting Miami from different corners of the map. A year ago, Emi Guerra stated: “My vision is to be part of a change. I hope to play a part in how locals and visitors view the Miami River and Miami in general”. To date, the city has responded to what was then a brand-new concept and now- a favorite waterfront venue. Collectively, both Guerra and Mantecon had a vision and created something unique, to offer a city that has long been known for the best nightlife, events and an incredibly rapid growing food scene.

Given the popularity of the venue and based on calculations of patrons who have visited since the inception, on Sunday January 27, the millionth guest will walk through The Wharf’s doors. Subsequently this means a “temporary” entertainment complex has successfully entertained droves, wanting something different. Hence, the celebration will not only be due to the number of patrons, but also the incredible array of collaborators The Wharf has partnered with to host over 400 quality community events for charities, businesses, organizations, countless numbers of birthdays, and social gatherings.

A year and thousands of “foodies” later, some of Miami’s most sought-after food trucks are still on a regular rotation. Mojo Donuts, Cracked by Chef Adrianne, La Santa Taqueria, Sweet Melody Ice Cream, Spris Artisan Pizza, King of Racks BBQ and a fish market & raw bar by local seafood favorite Garcia’s featuring OG Ceviche, satisfy guests at The Wharf weekly.

“The fact that one-million guests have visited us is incredible. We are truly humbled by the response we have gotten and look forward to celebrating with everyone.” stated Alex Mantecon.
Guests are encouraged to come out and celebrate at the 1 Million Customer Celebration Sunday January 27, 2019 12 Noon to closing.  All wanting to partake in the festivities should RSVP and receive their first drink FREE. RSVP here:  www.Wharfmiami.eventbrite.com
