THE OCEANAIRE SERVING ALASKA HALIBUT AND KING CRAB FOR LIMITED TIME

The Oceanaire Seafood Room is proud to announce its partnership with Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) only serving guests the freshest seasonal, seafood delicacies from Alaska’s waters. Upholding ASMI’s superior reputation and proven track record of sustainable fisheries, The Oceanaire encourages area-residents to come enjoy Alaska Halibut and Alaska King Crab available now for a limited time only.

“The Oceanaire has always made mindful, sustainable seafood choices that help ensure future generations the bounty of the ocean for years to come,” said Wade Wiestling, vice president of culinary development at The Oceanaire. “Our executive chefs and seafood experts are leading the way by making a commitment to limiting at-risk species on its menu. Restaurants and seafood is our livelihood so we have to make sure we are being respectful to the ocean’s health.”

Known as “America’s favorite fish”, halibut is one of the most prized seafoods from Alaska’s waters and its ease of preparation yields spectacular results. Alaska Halibut is prepared a number of ways including grilled, roasted, sautéed, or poached. It is prized for its delicate sweet flavor, snow-white color and firm flaky meat. The Oceanaire has developed several signature preparations this season including Grilled Halibut T-Bone Steaks with Haricot Vert & Caviar Butter, Tempura Fried Alaska Halibut Cheeks, and Pan-Seared Alaska Halibut Fillet.

King Crab is the most sought after and flavorful crab that is only harvested during winter months in the frigid waters of Alaska. Due to their enormous leg size, Alaska King Crab yields very large pieces of meat and is considered by experts to be among the best crab available. At The Oceanaire, 100% certified Alaska King Crab is purchased directly from the ice waters of the Bering Sea from straight from fishermen on “Arctic Hunter” fishing vessel. The restaurant offers this legendary Alaska King Crab by the pound and can be cracked and served by experienced staff.

Located at 900 South Miami Avenue Suite 111, The Oceanaire offers over 25 species of seafood and shellfish tailored to local market tastes. Only top-of-the-catch fish from the most reputable suppliers are served and each is carefully crafted to ensure the restaurant’s high standards of quality and flavor are exceeded in every dish.
