The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County is pleased to announce SPOOKY SYMPHONY as the opening performance for the 2016-2017 season of FAMILY FEST, the Center’s signature series of free family-friendly performances. The thrilling Halloween concert, co-presented by The Children’s Trust, will be performed by The Greater Miami Youth Symphony and the Alhambra Orchestra on Sunday, October 29 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall.
The spooky concert features enchanting scores accompanied by large-scale visuals from family favorites including Star Wars, World of Warcraft and King Kong, plus creepy classics such as Danse Macabre, Toccata and Fugue and Night on Bald Mountain. Audience members of all ages are encouraged to get in the holiday spirit by dressing in their favorite costumes!
FIRST-ACCESS PASS INFORMATION:
Admission to FAMILY FEST is FREE. However, First-Access Passes are required. First-Access Passes for the October 29 performances featuring SPOOKY SYMPHONY will be available beginning today.
First-Access Passes can be reserved by calling the Adrienne Arsht Center box office at 305-949-6722 or online at www.arshtcenter.org (limit four per person). The passes provide patrons with first-access to seating in the theater. Seating is “first-come, first-admitted” for the performance and passes do not guarantee a seat.
Patrons who do not have a First-Access Pass can join the stand-by line an hour before curtain outside the theater. Patrons in the stand-by line will be allowed into the theater beginning at 12:45 p.m. for the 1 p.m. show and 3:45 p.m. for the 4 p.m. show if seats are still available.
