South Florida Artists Receive $3.7 million Boost from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation

The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation will announce significant grants to 20 local groups and artists. The winners of the 2009 Knight Arts Challenge will help strengthen South Florida’s visual arts community, deepen appreciation for locally produced music and showcase the region’s creativity.

The Knight Arts Challenge is a five-year, $40 million initiative to bring South Florida’s diverse community together and add to the momentum building in the local arts scene. More on the initiative at KnightArts.org.
