CNN’s award-winning journalist, Soledad O’Brien’s poignant reporting on documentary series, such as “Black in America” and “Latino in America” has inspired her to pen her newest memoir, The Next Big Story: My Journey Through the Land of Possibilities.

The latest memoir recounts O’Brien growing up with racial prejudice and falling in love with the television business.

While Soledad was in Miami promoting her book at Books and Books, Coral Gables, I had a chance to understand what really goes into making The Next Big Story.
