Sleeping Beauty Dreams which will be at the Arsht Center Ziff Opera House in Miami on Friday, December 7th and Saturday, December 8th and The Beacon Theater in New York City on Friday, December 14th and Saturday, December 15th.

SLEEPING BEAUTY DREAMS is a ballet and art performance that will be one of the highlights of the season.

It is a contemporary art exploration of the age-old fairy tale, featuring global prima ballerina Diana Vishneva performing as Princess Aurora and Marcelo Gomes as Prince Peter in a fusion of dance, music, art, and revolutionary real-time avatar digital technology never seen on stage before.

 

The legend of Sleeping Beauty has been retold by masters since the 14th century, but never once has anyone explored what the princess was dreaming while she slept for 100 years. The artists of Sleeping Beauty Dreams will present their interpretation of this long held secret for the first time in the world, on Miami’s hottest stage. Artists joining Vishneva and Gomes will include Tobias Gremmler with music by electronic composers Noisia.

Sleeping Beauty Dreams will showcase the first ever fusion of live contemporary dance of the ballet stars with real time avatars projected on stage in real time. This emerging technology allows the constantly transforming avatars to seamlessly replicate the dancers’ movements live, adding a whole new dimension to the world of live performance.
