DECEMBER 1 – 4, 2016 •  MIAMI BEACH

SATELLITE ART SHOW, now located in South Beach, triumphantly returns to Miami Art Week with an expanded program and centralized location!  Keeping with last year’s spirit, SATELLITE will once again feature experiential exhibitions and a lively adjunct music and performance art program. Each space at SATELLITE is an opportunity for visitors to both collect new works of art and experience art in new and unique ways. “We believe art can be marketable and still have a soul” – Brian Whiteley.  SATELLITE 2016 will feature 50 + international exhibitions by todays most progressive organizations.

Aside from a solid group of conceptually focused presentations by galleries, SATELLITE also presents a dynamic array of interactive installations. Highlights include Le Provocateurs“afro-futuristic erotica DIY queer cabaret” presented by Dangerous RoseFlatsitter’s therapeutic “Theta” installation featuring VR pods with aroma therapy; Performance is Alive’s non-stop performance art lounge; Famousonmars custom Tattoo Parlor; the Soothing Center’s arts focused holistic therapeutic cleansing center; and acclaimed UAE curator Rami Farook’s “’a self and social portrait (1981-2016)” featuring over 100 curated art objects.
