Perrier-Jouët has commissioned the London-based Dutch designer Simon Heijdens for their 2013 Design Miami/ collaboration.

Heijdens’ immersive piece creates a captivating experience that reveals the poetry of the natural world around us, blending art, craft, design and groundbreaking techniques. Phare No. 1–9 is a progressive work through which Heijdens explores themes of nature, coincidence and time, in his 21st Century interpretation of Art Nouveau, the brief set by Perrier-Jouët.

Since the champagne house’s first artistic collaboration in 1902 with artist Emile Gallé, who created the iconic anemone of its Belle Époque cuvée, the house has continued to commission established and emerging designers and artists. Through the partnership with Design Miami/, Perrier-Jouët helps support the best in new design talent and this marks the second year they are participating with a curated Salon project following their collaboration with Studio Glithero in 2012.
