Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) marked a banner first year of 150 percent attendance with time-based art show, PAMM Presents Future Brown Featuring Kelela at Art Basel Miami Beach. Taking the spotlight at one of the most anticipated events on the Art Basel Miami Beach VIP calendar, the evening showcased the first U.S. performance of Future Brown accompanied by live vocalists, the premiere of the PAMM-commissioned music video from the DJ collective’s debut album and an incredible gravity-defying jet-boarding performance in Biscayne Bay.
Thom Collins, Director of PAMM, alongside Francisco Aristeguieta, CEO of Citi Latin America, began the evening with a private toast to all exhibiting artists on-view and part of the PAMM collection. Tobias Ostrander, PAMM Chief Curator, Emily Mello, PAMM Director of Education and Public Programs and Leann Standish, PAMM Deputy Director of External Affairs alongside exhibiting artists Beatriz Milhazes, Mario Garcia Torres, Adler Guerrierand more all raised a glass to the incredible success that the museum has had over the past year.
Following the intimate toast in true Miami fashion, the evening unfolded on a custom stage touting a vibrant light and video production by THV Entertainment and a dynamic backdrop of a flyboarding performance in Biscayne Bay choreographed to the music by DIS Magazine. VIP guests flooded the terrace to capture the vibrant spectacle as they mixed and mingled to the energetic beat.
