Guests danced to music by Brooklyn-based Afrobeat musical collectiveAntibalasand American artist, musician and designerKilo Kishaccompanied byRay Brady, while mingling and sipping on Kim Crawford, Heineken, and La Croix. Attendees were given the chance to view PAMM’s current exhibitions, includingThe Gift of Art, which celebrates PAMM’s 35th anniversary and furthers the museum’s belief in preserving and sharing art with both current audiences and future generations;Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s documentary exhibitionSurrounded Islands;Ebony G. Patterson’s immersive “night garden” installation;José Carlos Martinat’s large-scale light sculptures that borrow signs and symbols ranging from historical images to popular internet memes; and artist and filmmakerPedro Neves Marques’first US solo museum presentation featuring speculative short films inspired by the Zika epidemic and Brazil’s political climate.
