Girl Scout Council of Tropical Florida is calling all girls ages 5-17, parents, friends and alumnae to join the Girl Scouts throughout the month of September and October, in public and private schools and community locations to become members. Sign up at the FREE Annual Girl Scout Family Fest & Membership Rally on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Girl Scout Camp Choee, 11347 SW 160th Street.
“There is something truly profound about seeing girls gain confidence and develop their leadership skills, knowing we helped them get there. Girl Scouting is a great experience, not just for girls, but for those adults who volunteer to facilitate groups, camps, travel, events and series programs,” said Maria D. Tejera, Chief Executive Officer.
Girl Scouts is open to all girls ages 5 – 17 and volunteer opportunities are available to adults 18+, pending background checks. Help your daughter learn to believe in herself, make long-lasting friendship, recognize her strengths and see a future of exciting possibilities. Through a number of enriching experiences, such as extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow courageous and strong.
