Miami Art Museum and Thom Collins host ultra-private affair at Ocean House

One of Art Basel’s must exclusive, hush-hush gatherings of the art world’s elite went down last night at the South of Fifth neighborhood’s newest ultra-private beachfront residence, Ocean House. Held on the rooftop terrace of restaurateur Myles Chefetz’s new penthouse digs, and hosted by Ocean House owner iStar Residential, along with Thom Collins, Director of Miami Art Museum, the fete celebrated the arrival of MAM’s top international Basel-bound and local collectors/donors, as well as honored two of Art Basel’s “it” artists, Rashaad Newsome and Faith Ringgold. The impenetrable guest list of forty included art philanthropists Marilyn Holifield and Marvin Holloway, MAM Board President Gail Meyers and Andy Hall, curator Claire Breukel, and Miami-Dade Artists and Communications Manager Brandi Reddick, among others.
