Kool & the Gang and The Commodores Come to Hard Rock Live on Friday, Oct. 14

Kool & the Gang Legendary artists Kool & the Gang and The Commodorescome to Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Friday, Oct. 14, at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Saturday, June 4, at 10 a.m. Fans will have access to presale tickets beginning Friday, June 3, at 10 a.m. through Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Kool & the Gang has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide and influenced the music of three generations. Thanks to songs like “Celebration,” “Cherish,” “Jungle Boogie,” “Summer Madness” and “Open Sesame,” the band has earned two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 25 Top Ten R&B hits, nine Top Ten Pop hits and 31 gold and platinum albums. Kool & the Gang has performed continuously for the past 43 years, longer than any R&B group in history. The group’s bulletproof funk and jazzy arrangements have also made it the most sampled band of all time.

 

Kool & the Gang was recently honored with a BET Soul Train Lifetime Achievement award. In October 2015, in the town sung about in one of the band’s earliest hits, “Hollywood Swinging,” Kool & the Gang was honored to take its place as American musical icons with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In the spring of 2016, Kool & the Gang received a nod from the group’s home state when it was inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame. In the band’s hometown of Jersey City, it received a touching tribute when a street the group grew up on was renamed to Kool & the Gang Way in its honor.
