JP Morgan Chase Art Program – When We Were Young with inspired works by YoungArts alumni

On view in the YoungArts Gallery, “When We Were Young” features contemporary masterworks from the early years of the renowned JPMorgan Chase Art Collection, which are paired with newly created works by YoungArts Visual Arts alumni from across the country. Highlights on view will include Slate (1959) by Joan Mitchell, Homage to the Square: In Late Red (1959) by Josef Albers, 0 through 9 (1960) by Jasper Johns, The Marine Works (1960 – 1962) by Robert Indiana and two untitled works from 1960 by Alma Thomas. Participating alumni work across artistic media, and include video and sculpture artist Amy Reid and painter and performing artist Annie Blazejack (both 2005 YoungArts Winners), as well as sculptor, photographer and video artist Cara Levine and painter Laini Nemett (2002 YoungArts Winners).
