stacheStache, the most unique cocktail bar in Ft. Lauderdale, is planning an outstanding gourmet experience.  Located at 109 SW Second Avenue, Stache will host a Macallan Supper Club Dinner on Wednesday, November 19th / 7PM.  The event pairs each course of the best gourmet meals from Joshua Hedquist, one of the great chefs in South Florida with a variety of fine and rare spirits from the Macallan Collection!

Founded in 1824, The Macallan was one of the first distilleries in Scotland

to be legally licensed. Since then, The Macallan has built a reputation as one of the world’s truly great single malt whiskies.  Their methods and craftsmanship, perfected over generations have combined to give their whiskies such outstanding quality and distinctive character.  Included in this dinner will be: The Macallan 10 Fine Oak; The Macallan 12; The Macallan 15 Fine Oak; The Macallan 17 Fine Oak; The Macallan 18; and The Macallan Rare Cask.

Renowned Chef Joshua Hedquist has refined his craft under the tutelage of chefs like Todd English, Tim Mckee and Stewart Woodman. With American, French and Italian cuisines under his culinary belt, he specialize in a scratch kitchen from pasta and bread to cured meats and cheeses, utilizing fresh and local ingredients. His style of food is modern American with Italian and French accents. The philosophy in Hedquist’s kitchen is using integrity with his knife.

 

For the Stache Macallen Supper Club, Chef Hedquist will treat you to a wonderland of tastes* starting with an array of appetizers including Fresh pulled smoked mozzarella-rhubarb mostarda with arugula pistou and Lamb tartare-pickled shallot & carrot with shaved egg yolk and tomato foam.

The main entrée will include among the offerings: Smoked trout salad-fingerling potato with frisee, olive, sweety drop pepper, and scallion with a lemon vinaigrette; Scallops & foie gras-sweet potato agnolotti with crispy speck, asparagus, sage and black butter sauce; and Rack of wild boar-rutabaga pure with brussel sprouts, talaggio fondue and black fig demi.                                                       

Then it is time for the sweet treats that will top off your feast featuring Goat cheese cake-hazel nut crust with wild berry purees, grand marnier cream and micro mint.
