About International Firefighters Assistance, Inc. (IFA)
Established in 2008, IFA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide education and training to firefighters and emergency rescue workers in underprivileged countries. One of IFA’s primary roles is to distribute donated firefighting, EMS, and public safety equipment to those countries in need. Many of these developing countries lack the necessary protective equipment and tools to support their local communities during an emergency and IFA is committed to providing them with the proper equipment. Through its relief programs, IFA hopes to strengthen local communities by assisting its citizens to better prepare for emergencies and disasters. Current efforts are focused in The Republic of Haiti in hope to bring awareness to the importance of public safety and help the people of Haiti to develop a safer and secure emergency response system.
